About Us
Addicted to Buying Sound Gear
Stage Dog Productions is a live audio production company that serves small to mid-market music and corporate events. It can handle events with audiences of at least 2,500 people, has capabilities for quick-change festivals, and can provide a dedicated monitor engineer.

We primarily use SQ series mixers, JBL SRX, RCF, Turbo Sound speakers, and Shure microphones, both wired and wireless. For over 13 years, our founder has been a key part of two significant music events in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

Our Story
Our Founder and CEO, David, has been interested in live audio production since high school. At Indiana State University, he studied Physics and Theatre. This is where he got his first chance to work with professional and student groups of all sizes and levels. The ISU music department contracted David to run sound and design lights for their show choir. Later, the university's concert hall (Tilson Auditorium) contracted him to run sound for other school events, community events, and touring groups.

Over the next several years, David kept working occasional shows designing lights and running sound. In 2007, David was asked to be a founding board member of Manitowish Waters - Music in the Park. Over the years, Music in the Park grew from a small local event to one of the most prominent tourist draws in Manitowish Waters. As Music in the Park grew, it was determined that sound needed to be provided to the bands to maintain constant quality. David started to build up an audio system to provide sound for many of the bands playing Music in the Park. He still serves on the Music in the Park Board and currently runs sound for about half of the bands who perform there.
In 2012, David was asked to run sound for the band The Frets at Music in the Park. After the show, the band invited David to participate in their music festival, Baystock. Baystock is a private event that has been going on for 45 years. The group that puts on Baystock helped David purchase some of the initial equipment that led to the creation of Stage Dog Productions. David can be seen in the Baystock Tribute YouTube video.

Over the last 13 years, we have slowly built up and improved our inventory of audio equipment to meet the growing sound needs for both of these events. The Stage Dog System has gone from an inexpensive Seismic Audio-based system to one featuring JBL SRX, RCF, and Turbo Sound speakers.

In 2023, David met Paul, who is in one of the bands that play Music in the Park (The Old Pine Road Band). With the growing amount of gear and the need for additional technical support, Paul started working events with Stage Dog Productions. Paul has a degree in audio production from the University of Indiana. Paul's wife, Emily, designed the Stage Dog logo.

Both David and Paul are working together to expand the services and capabilities of Stage Dog Productions.
